We were very lucky to have a visit from the Schools of Sanctuary Co-ordinator Kinda Nassli. She spoke to 3rd Class to 6th Class. She told us about her story as a refugee fleeing from the war in Syria. We were very interested in her story. The girls shared ideas with Kinda about what they would do to welcome new girls to our school or new families to our local community. The girls also shared their stories about being new to our school and about moving house and making new friends. The girls also chatted about their home countries and shared some interesting details about these countries too. We really enjoyed this visit and hope to welcome Kinda back to our school very soon.
