Acrobatic Clowns
17th Nov 2024
For Science week, each child made an acrobatic clown. First, they coloured in the clown on a piece of cardboard and cut it out. Next, we tried to balance the clown on the tip of our finger but quickly realised it couldn’t be done. Then, we had to think of ways to help it balance. We used Playdough on each of the clown’s hands and this helped it to balance perfectly on our fingers once it was the same weight on each hand. It was great fun! We also watched a few demonstrations of experiments to show how raisins dance, how a person can fit through a piece of A4 paper and how you can pierce a plastic bag holding water with a pencil and it won’t leak! Amazing!
