Ancient Egyptian Collar necklaces
29th Sep 2022
We were learning about Ancient Egypt. They believed in many gods and goddesses, even the Pharaohs were living gods. They buried the kings and important people in tombs, some in the Pyramids. They also buried them in the Valley of the Kings. Tutankhamun was buried there. He died when he was 18.They buried food and cats in the tomb with them. They wrapped the bodies in bandages, oils and salts and took out their hearts and puts them into decorative jars. The bodies were then called mummies. They have performed DNA testing to see if any of them were related. The collars we made were worn by the Pharaohs. We found it very fascinating!
