“Greener Christmas” In-school poetry Competition winners
We had a in-school competition to help us choose entries to send on to Louth County council and also to highlight the importance of recycling and being mindful of waste at all times, even Christmas!
The girls above are our class winners and were announced at Assembly.
The festive season is a time of joy and celebration, but it’s also an opportunity to get creative and think of ways to be more mindful of our waste during Christmas.
Items like wrapping paper, Christmas cards, packaging materials, glass bottles, plastics, cans, and leftover food all contribute to a considerable increase in waste during this time of year.
However, with careful planning and increased awareness, we can make a positive change. Louth County Council is running “Greener Christmas” Poetry Competition for 2024
