Intercultural week
Recently, we held intercultural week in our school. This was a very exciting week filled with lots of events which encouraged us to celebrate diversity and difference throughout our school.
Each morning, girls from older classes read out phrases in different languages on the intercom. On Tuesday, we had a visit from a spokesperson from the Schools of Sanctuary Programme. On Wednesday, we had a visit from two ladies from the Navan Travellers workshop. On Thursday, we went to “Starbooks Cafe” to sample lots of different multicultural books. Finally, on Friday, we attended intercultural day in the hall. Everybody dressed up in their traditional clothes and we sampled traditional foods.
We had a great week. We want to say a huge thank you to Ms.Quinn and Ms.Rogers for organising such a wonderful week.
