January has been a busy month for Junior Infants. We have learned our third set of Jolly Phonics sounds and are using these to read and write words and to read books! We have done lots of work on the fairy tales ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ and loved acting out the stories using puppets. We have been learning all about Eadai in our Irish lessons and enjoyed using our new vocabulary to dress up in teachers clothes! In PE we have been working hard on our gymnastics skills, climbing, balancing, jumping and rolling! The girls are getting very brave on the balance beams and love using the obstacle courses! We made lovely teddies in Art using fabric and fibre!
