Maths Resources
14th May 2024
Last Friday, the student council prepared boxes filled with maths equipment and resources for every class in the school. Ms. Fearon ordered the boxes and resources and the children organised them for each age group. The boxes contain toy money, straws, cuisenaire rods, deines blocks, matchsticks, little people plus lots more. The idea is when a child is presented with a maths problem, they can take some of the resources from the box to help solve it in a practical way. It will also help the child to explain their thinking. This will support the new Maths Curriculum which is currently being rolled out. They did a great job and were greeted with happy, smiling faces when they delivered the boxes to the classes. Well done girls!
