Parachute Investigation 🪂
21st Nov 2024
For Science Week, we have been taking part in different experiments. Today, we investigated parachutes. We discussed what they are and what they are used for and then the girls were given a challenge to design their own parachute. In groups they were all given the same materials and a lego person. They had to design and create their own parachute with the lego person attached so that when they dropped it their lego figure safely landed on the ground. After testing it in the classroom we decided we needed to test it from a taller height, so we tested them by dropping them from the first floor of the school.
