Fifth and Sixth Class took part in a rugby blitz in DKIT on Friday, March 7th. Over 250 girls participated in the event as part of International Women's Day which took place the following day on March 8th. There were teams from County Louth and County Meath. Three teams from Castletown Girls' School took part. The girls were eager to show off what they had learned from a block of coaching they have been undertaking with their coach from Leinster Rugby every Friday in school. For many of our girls it was their first ever time playing a competitive tag rugby match but they showed grit and determination. The girls had great fun playing against teams from around the North East. Thank you to Leinster Rugby for organising the wonderful event!
