School council attend talk on climate change
14th Mar 2024
On the 27th of February, the student council were invited to attend an informative talk by Irish engineer, scientist and STEM specialist, Dr. Niamh Shaw.
The talk was about climate change. We learned about her exciting expedition to Antarctica. She told us about a place in Utah, where she spent 15 days. It was like living on Mars!
This talk taught us the importance of taking care of our planet to slow down the effects of climate change.
We pledged that we would use less water and electricity and stop buying too many items of clothing.
We loved listening to Dr Niamh Shaw so much that we invited her to come to talk to our whole school.
