We made string telephones for Science Week today. We pierced holes in paper cups. Next, we threaded string into the holes and tied a knot. One of us stood in the class and the other went outside the door and spoke into the cup. We also went outside to see if it worked better. It was an interesting way to see how vibrations travel along the string!
